Aikido
For young and old, for every body type and every skill level, aikido is an accessible Japanese martial art centered on relaxation, concentration, and fluid movement. This class isn’t about strength or competition, but about balance, cooperation, and personal growth.
The techniques you’ll learn originate from the centuries-old samurai tradition but have been adapted by founder Morihei Ueshiba into a safe, respectful, and low-injury form of training. As a result, Aikido is suitable for everyone, even if you have physical, visual, or hearing impairments.

Each class begins with breathing exercises and bodywork to promote focus and calm. Afterward, you’ll work with a partner on techniques centered on cooperation. You don’t learn to defeat another person, but to develop yourself. There are no competitions; we train with each other, not against each other.
Children train in age-based groups; adults train together (men, women, beginners, and advanced practitioners). Everyone learns at their own pace, with respect for one another and for their own bodies.
